I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and have over twenty years experience providing therapy services to individuals, family and couples. I am currently serving as a private practitioner working with a variety of clients. I graduated from a Private Christian College in North Dakota with my Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work. I graduated from the University Of North Dakota with my Master’s Degree in Social Work. I have experience working with families, foster care, trauma counseling including sexual and physical abuse, immigration, child welfare, anger management, behavioral issues, adolescents and individual counseling.
I am an interactive therapist and use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy along with Dialectical Behavioral Therapy is my preferred models. I have been intensively trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and have been involved in the implementation of group therapy using this model. I have used Dialectical Behavioral Therapy providing individual and skills training sessions to adolescents.
I believe in the therapeutic relationship as a key to client success and emphasize the importance of meeting clients where they are at and building upon their strengths. I am also a strong believer that healing and good mental health involves the balance of mind, body and spirit.
